Over the past few weeks, I've realised that I am now part of a new TV viewing demographic targeted by advertisers - the exhausted late-night feeding parent. From about midnight onwards, TV programmes start advertising nappies and washing powder regularly. The other group of people who watch TV at this time are young men who play computer games. Heh, I have only just managed to leave said exclusive club and am now a member of the 6am CBeebies Gang instead. Yay.

Yes, it is always nice to hit that one as the CBeebies channel has no adverts. However, when my eldest is at playgroup I have been known to become daytime tv demographic. That one is for housewives/mums, people who would benefit from training programmes to help them find a job, people injured and unable to work who might want to sue, people in a position to buy their own council house (low income shift jobs I assume), people who might fall for dodgy loan and refinancing companies (all of those listed so far) and retired people. Those are the dullest adverts ever. It ought to also cover students, but I think they tend to be too poor to advertise in a major way for.

Yes, that is primarily why we watch it. I can't abide adverts and would rather Felix wasn't exposed to them! The daytime television adverts give me the fear - they are so depressing and grey and ridiculous! ;)
