a friend of mine here made that train trip the other direction a few days ago. It sounds like it was rather painful...(i think it would be really fun, though!)

On the bright side, Glacier National Park is beautiful. Course, I saw it in the early summer, not winter, so the roads were open and the lake was beautiful from the glacial runoff... I'm sure its beautiful now too, though.
