Parenthetical bookend themes are a theme with you, man. And I love it. Because their relationship really isn't that simple, and she does really care, and it's all beautiful, glorious lies and denial.

Their little fight at the beginning really does bring to mind parallels of Carina's introduction in 1x04, but in a good way. I like that you did this from Sara's point of view rather than, well, Sarah's, because from the perspective of someone who knows one much better than the other it makes it easier for me to get a feel on Black Canary this way. Plus, bonus lulz over the outsider perspective when it comes to Sarah's situation in Burbank with the geeky man-child.
