Autor's note: I entertained head gamemaker as a career path and this is what happened. Essentially written for casterlys in the THG ficathon - prompt was an AU where Katniss didn't go back into the Arena and was a mentor instead.
Summary: It's a coincidence it rhymes with hell.

After I read it over I was like...this is like a messed up version of Legends of the Hidden Temple. Unfortunately, I realized too late so I couldn't add in any Temple Guards.

Um, so basically, every thing about this was ridiculously perfect. Especially all the non-verbal communication between Katniss and Haymitch, and the way this fic both opened and closed.

AND THIS:

She doesn’t let herself cry until Haymitch’s arms shield her from everyone else.
