And as I've said before, it certainly is at first blush an exciting idea for any of us. After all, we're Veronica Mars fans and we do crazy things! But then reality kicks in and the impractical factors, etc. So I think most people have jokingly discussed or humorously fantasized about the idea of a fan funded movie, but we got concerned when someone started posting everywhere soliciting actual donations which got to be a little scary.
But I'm glad you pointed out that it isn't a campaign by you guys either.

We just got worried when this guy from the CW boards showed up at TWoP and started directing people to his MySpace and asking for $25 to $200 (!)
Good luck with your site, and I think posting periodic updates about your campaign here would be fine. If you want to do that sort of thing. I think you and we all just want to make sure the diehard fans don't get taken advantage of - so sharing info would be lovely.

At the moment you've got two different Invisible Children links on the page. One of them correctly goes to invisiblechildren.com, but the other goes to invisiblechildren.org; that one's not the one you wanted.
