Edgar Linton is love. Wussy, sickly, stuck up love, but love. But don't believe anything Charlotte says about Nelly Dean. >.>
I don't think you need to read Charlotte or Emily in order to read Anne--she does quite a bit of commentary that isn't directed at her sisters like her views on Christianity and sin, how the duties of a wife can and sometimes must clash with the duties of a mother, the unfairness of matrimonial law, the unfairness of custody laws (if you read Agnes Grey, she also throws in the serious suckage of being a governess)... though yes, if you look at Arthur Huntingdon as the response to Heathcliff or Rochester, the book does become rather more amusing.
I read Agnes Grey first and I don't regret it, but I found The Tenant of Wildfell Hall to be a better display of her talent and also a lot more fun to read.
You Queen lyrics icons were awesome -- you should totally post them!
I love Ofra Haza's voice, even though generally I'm not too fond of high female voices.
But it was rather hilarious how he kept calling me Hagar and Sarah. *is easily amused*
I'm easily amused along with you! *refrains from creepy "clearly he wants you to have his babies" comment. Almost.* Sorry XP.
I've never made it through a Bronte book either, but that Beaton comic made me want to read one of Anne's. (And all the comparisons of Littlefinger to Heathcliff made me kind of want to give Wuthering Heights a shot.)
Twilight has been sent to the cornfield. XP... O.o... I don't even know which expression to make.
Sorry XP LOL, I didn't even think of going there. XD
The moment I accepted that everyone in Wuthering Heights is just plain screwed up and doomed it became a lot more fun, I really like the book now. When I first tried it to read I must've been around 15 years and pretty averse to downer books but I seem to be able to handle it now. (I tried to read it out faint curiosity. Snapefen kept going on about how he's like Heathcliff. Having almost finished WH I can totally see it (and how Heathcliff is like LF, what with their obsession) but I can't comprehend how this is a good thing. Heathcliff is obviously a dickbag. XD)
I don't even know which expression to make Then you should see this. XD
Heh, well, I'm not much for downer books, but it does sound like a potentially fun read, and I should, like, read real literature occasionally before the strip me of my English Lit minor...
I've finished the book now and I have to say, I completely love it. Besides, I was mistaken, the books does end with a happy ending, though not for all characters. Besides, after a while I really got into it, it becomes a very easy read.
Heathcliff is more of a brute compared to Littlefinger, though. All his cursing and threatening to hurt people (which sometimes does). A complete tyrant. XD
Well, I wasn't around for the comic one, but I did vote for your menu and your icons...so go you! I have superior taste, so clearly you have superior style. :)
And if it's any consolation, I keep calling my friend Shahar by your name on accident!

*checks what Charlotte said about Nelly Dean*
... hahahaha. XD
Hah, that sounds interesting. So which Anne novel would you say is better/should I read first? Agnes Grey or The Tenant of Wildfell Hall?

Haha, oops. Is Shahar a female or a male name? (I've seen both used)
