Man, the common cold always turns me into a whiny wimp, I know, but combined with PMS and Exams = X_X (Waaah, I don't want to do an exam tomorrow!)

Okay guys, did anyone see the 60 years People's Republic of China military parade? Anyone? Because it was CRAZY. Me and my dad watched it and it was basically "Holy shit!"

Wow, yeah, I think CRAZY is the only word that can describe China's mix of "impressive" and "frightening". o_O

Wellll, the frightening aspect kinda left when we heard that there are rumours that the people who marched in the parade had to wear diapers because they weren't allowed to go to the restroom all day. >.>

They're exactly the same shape and size, omg. You just know they measured every one of them to get exactly the right bunch of girls.

I know! That's... So, I mean, I grew up on military pomp and huge marching bands and rampant goosestepping and, like, tanks rolling down the street in formation. It's in my blood! But China takes it to a whole new level. Like, Soviet parades just look like someone rounded up a bunch of soldiers and machinery. The Chinese version looke like the people have been engineering to look that way.

I want those LotR helmets! (How totally random, though!)

(btw, the parade had like 188.000 marching in it. Or working on it. Either way, that's crazy. That's like a third of my city.)

(Hi, found you through the ASoIaF fandom and I've been stalking... I mean, reading, your LJ for a while ^^U)

I actually find the whole way those clones walk in the exact same way looking the exact same way and with the exact same expression on their faces quite creepy. Whatever happened to individuality? But well, you could write a whole essay on the way China handles public events, so I'm not going there.
