Reply to this post, and I'll tell you one reason why I like you. Then re-post this and spread the love.Uni won't stop torturing me with work. ;_; (But for what it's worth, tomorrow I'll have finished my very first scientific article ever. About gene silencing therapy for Huntington, even. It sounds riveting, no ( Read more... )

The Yiddish Policemen's Union is the Chabon book I wanted to read first but hey, not going to refuse a really cheap book!

Re: Meme. I've always been really impressed by how you speak your mind even when it might not seem like the most popular opinion. And you've always been so nice to me. :)

LOL, I love that Pachelbel rant. I've seen it before and it brings me great joy.

Heh.

Oh, and to return the favour: I've always liked reading your thoughts on things because you're always really eloquent and, well, thoughtful. Oh, and often entertainingly snarky.

Heh, glad you liked it! Jigglypuff still creeps my out, though.

Oh, and because you replied to this entry: One of the reasons I like you is because you're teeth-rottingly cute. CARRY ON.

I can make stamps like Tommen now!

Hee!

I enjoyed Gifts and Gentlemen of the Road (and I've loved The Little Prince for ages, at least in translation). Oh, and "The Importance of Being Earnest" is one of my favorite things by Wilde. In other words -- happy reading! :D

(I've beenw aning to get my hands on Melusine, too...)

Are those music-related links from Fandom_Wank, by any chance? I ask because that's how I first came across the Pachelbel Rant a couple of days ago. :P

Ooh, and congrats on the scientific article milestone!

Indeed, a happy ending! And what a splendid ending it was. And I just love all the (fem)slashy stuff. Definitely didn't notice that when I read it as a fourteen year old. XD

I've beenw aning to get my hands on Melusine, too...
I hope you can find it in the library. I didn't expect that to happen in the Netherlands so buying was the only option. And this was just a big coincidence because I found it at the bottom of a last copies pile.

Hah, yeah, I think I go the link through fandom_wank. It's pretty funny because this wasn't the first time people in f_w felt the need to rag on the cello part of Canon in D. XD

Re: Meme. My reasons for liking you are myriad. The fact that we like so many of the same things is awesome (like Oscar Wilde!). But I'd just like to mention how much I like your pictures. It's so cool to see pictures of your trips. :)

That's so weird that Melusine is out of print, since it's a relatively new book... I saw one of the sequels in the library, but never the first one. I should actually make a concerted effort to look at it...

Heh, I hadn't seen the previous ragging, but this (from the Amanda Palmer wank, I think?) was pretty hilarious.

Aww, thank you for the sweet words! :DDD ♥ (And I'm glad my pictures aren't boring, since I worry a bit that I post too many. :P) Likewise, I like you for a myriad of reasons. More, even! :D

Libraries are weird like that. Mine has Black Powder War and Victory of Eagles from the Temeraire series but not His Majesty's Dragon. I checked the index. Twice. :/

Yeah, it was the Amanda Palmer wank! Now I remember. :D

More, even! :D

"Proletalier aller Länder, vereinigt Euch!"

Heh, my parents say this every once in a while when I ask them things about politics. They say it in Farsi even, cause that's how they roll. XD

Is Melusine really out of print?
It was when I last checked. I checked sites like bookdepository.co.uk and they all said the same thing. :/

Hah, and the scientific article is not much, really. It's a systematic review, which means you have to do a database search on a certain subject and summarize and discuss the results. Everyone has to do it in second year. :)

Oh, and seeing how you replied: I'd just like to say that you seem like a very kind and thoughtful person and the way you just seem to devour books is hella impressive to me. :D
