It totally cracked me up how Robin is a girl in this musical. I think I would die of happiness if Batman: The Musical ever happened.

Terry: C'mon, it took me weeks to get tickets for this show. It's schway!
Bruce: It's schwarbage.

I love cranky old Bruce. I love Terry! I just really love this show. Its badass intro. And its villains (Okay, so ( Read more... )

Congrats on all the outstanding results in school!

Man, question #4 *is* mean. I would have a devil of a time picking between PTerry and LeGuin (I think Martin's awesome, but not quite the same *level* of awesome). I think I'd still pick PTerry, on the basis of Vetinari and Granny Weatherwax, because much as I love LeGuin's writing, I don't love her characters (even Ged, my favorite) in the same way, and I'm a character-driven reader. But so haaard. :/

That's a very cute quiz. *stealz*

Thanks!

Yeah, I agree. Pratchett's characters are so incredibly amazing, they blow others (and I do love Ged and Arren and Tenar!) out of the water.
I do think that Pratchett and Le Guin are the better writers but I'm so emotionally attached to ASOIAF, hah.

The DC animated universe is full of awesome. Like Batman's darkest secret.

Yes, I am mean! I agree with you and hamsterwoman: Martin is not as awesome as LeGuin and Pratchett, and Pratchett beats out even LeGuin.

I too like the low warm sound of the viola.

And I find it scary to return to my parents' native country and they haven't been exiled from it or anything, AND I've been there before, so...yeah.

Hah, yeah. I'm so impressed by him, as a writer and as a person.

It's from an episode of Batman Beyond, a sequel to the original Batman Animated Series. It's totally different, set like 50 years into the future, and Batman is a teen whose mentor is old cranky Bruce Wayne. I used to watch it when I was about 10. :D

Here's another funny clip, from the Justice League Cartoon: Batman's shattering secret.
