Waaaaa (T____T) *Glomps you two* I really didn't expect this, thank you thank you!!
This is really touching, and exactly how I always imagine Near to feel!! That pic of adult Near hiding his expression and caressing his lips as if the taste of chocolate just burnt... so good! And the writing is, as always, so perfect and powerful, exploring how cold and logical Near's feelings are, and yet how he *still* has a human side, much to his dismay. The fact that he's even pondering to die now, as if everything had been slowly stopping to matter to him, breaks my heart and makes me love him even more (as if that had been possible).
I didn't expect this, t-thank you very much!!! (T_T) You two are great!
I really like how sensitive you are to Near's feelings. The contradictory feelings are so suppressed... that it makes him real and fragile on the inside. And the art (nice style!) depicts that moment wonderfully. ♥
I always find your writing beautiful, and this piece proves that... so much it hurts. My God. How could you do that? TT_TT
I love the juxtaposition--as much as Near wants his beloved ones back, his logic tells him not to hope because it's futile. It's so very Near, incredibly poignant. You manage to capture his persona in small amount of words. And his eternal longing for Mello, for his warmth and love which he can't fully capture, because Mello is gone already.
