I was planning on giving an actual positive update today, but that went to hell three hours into my day. My brand new electronic dictionary is now fried thanks to spilled green tea. No biggie, right? Not when you've seen how much freakin' money I've dropped on stupid crap here ( Read more... )

you know after I talked to you I realized I have had electronics luck here too. The shutter on my digi cam is busted, which means the lens is always partially exposed now. My second or third week here my computer bit the big one and I had to have Apple come pick it up and replace the internal hard drive, by some stroke of luck they were able to transfer everything because when I got it back everything was sitting there like I had left it........

What is it with Japan and bad electronics luck?

Damn, that is some terrible luck. There is probably a chance that your new denchi jisho could be fixed. Try asking various people or asking for some advice from the store where you bought it. Don't give up completely on it yet.

Yeah. We tried a bunch of crap and nothing. It turned on but the keyboard was completely shot and wouldn't repsond. I guess that's how it goes.

Right now, I'm trying to not get kicked out of this stupid university. I have to pay tuition, right? But since I'm having trouble getting money from home, I couldn't pay on time, so the university extended it. Only problem: they didn't tell me how long they extended it. They came up to me yesterday and said this: "Pay us tomorrow or you're kicked out and deported."

I hate Kyoto Gaidai and don't recommend it to anyone wanting to study in Kyoto. Seriously. It's a shit university for foriegn students.
