It had to be the day the majority of their money dried up. It was a jarring thing to him as a child, to have his parents tell him to collect a few of his belongs, but being forced to leave the more expensive ones behind, because everything was being repo-d including the house. It was awful to know all his things and his home were being taken away. He hadn’t understood too well when their old friends stopped calling, but the house being taken away, was the marker that explained it all to him

Usually he just reads or plays a game of chess if someone who can play feels up to it. He’s been known to head to the chess district in Greenwich village to play against people who actually (for the most part) know how to play well. Old people, young kids, he's not picky so long as they know how to play.
Despite his annoyance with his female younger neighbors (children) putting clips in his hair and singing awful songs, he actually doesn’t mind playing with the girls. It’s those not-rich-and-not-really-bratty girls that he likes, that is, before they get older and become impossible troublesome women. He won’t actually seek them out, but when he’s really bored, he’ll pass by their houses ‘slowly’ on a walk hoping they ask for him to play. Oh, he’ll complain and gripe if they do, but he actually wants to.
He doesn’t know what he wants. He likes science too much not to have nothing to do with it, but the particular fields of science he’s more interested in have far too much to do with his father’s field and he’s afraid he’ll end up rich like his father had. And money is not something he wants anymore.
So currently, he’ll tell himself he wants to teach organic chemistry at the university level, but he’s far more interested in the creation of medicine. As for others? He’ll tell them he doesn’t really care so long as the job is not in the fast food or sales industry.
:) He likes House. It’s the interest in science that makes it appeal to him, but he likes House’s snarky comments just as much as the medical aspects of the show.
Also, he won’t admit it, but he has a particular interest for reruns of I Love Lucy.

Boxers all the way. He’s not picky about any of his other clothes really, but when it comes to undergarments, he won’t wear briefs. Nope.
