I am going to move.  It's only a matter of when.  If my job contract cannot be renewed in June (when it ends) then I could move as early as July.  Or maybe after the summer and in time for a new September job.  If my contract is renewed then I might stay longer.  But soon enough I will move.

Top 3 Cities I am considering:

They're great requirements for a city to live in.. Sun and outdoors are important to me where I live as well.

Hooray! I really, really hope that happens for you. Several of those criteria are easily filled by a lot of cities. The 300+ sunny days narrows it down, but I understand why that would be important to you :)

Ah, too bad Florida doesn't meet most of those requirements. However, I don't want to live here for long, either. I want to move to California!

Where in CA do you want to go? And when do you think you'll get there?

Someplace in or near San Francisco, ideally. I have a good friend in Oakland who has offered me a place to crash many times. I've just been too chicken to take her up on it. I have more of a support system down here in Florida. If I can save up a good chunk of monies, I'd start planning a western migration. I'm assuming it will take me about 3 years to get all of my shit straight, unfortunately. I certainly plan to head out there to visit in the next year or so, though!

cool! I don't actually know too much about Oakland, but I'm intrigued and want to try it out. You should totally take her up on it and take a mini-vacation soon. Test out the waters. I plan on doing that sometime soon too.

Also, great icon!

How'd you decide on those cities? Other than Denver of course since you probably have spent a lot of time there.

I know a lot of people who like living in Sacramento. And many who, um, don't love Davis. :-) It's a college town though, so it would probably be good for you career-wise.

Well, I mostly see myself as a west coast person so that narrowed it down quite a bit. I'd like to live in Hawaii but that's a big move. Those were the only realistic cities I could think of. Have any other suggestions?

How'd you even find this post buried all the way back in December..?
