Title: Without
Prompt: WC50: rain, 047. Writer's Choice (Dreams); I50: 006. Wedding
Summary: On the eve of his wedding, Peter dreams. Peter/Lucy
It mists prettily the evening before Peter's wedding, rain coating the world in a sort of quiet ethereality. Standing at the window, the room's only light slipping in through the half-open door, Peter dreams. He dreams of long ago and far away, of kings and magic and queens and myths, and a winter that never ended, except that it did.
The door opens more and then the latch clicks shut, leaving the room completely dark. A hand - not so small, any more - lays itself on his arm.
"Don't worry about her," Lucy says. "She'll still be here tomorrow."
Peter doesn't tell her that it's not his bride he's worried about.
Notes: I know, I know - how could I do it, right? Uh ... it was actually pretty easy. :P
Also, I just thought you should all know, this turned out to be 111 words. Creepy, innit?
Also also, "ethereality" is a word. I looked it up. So, by the way, is "aethereality", which seems much more British to me, but on the other hand, it really looks like a word I made up, so "ethereality" it stays.
PS, I just think everyone should also know that I am apparently the only person on the planet who likes Peter/Lucy. At least, the only one I can find on the internet. Of course, I said that for Wonka/Charlie, so feel free to prove me wrong, please.
