I feel you as I was a fan of the 76s forever but after losing so much money and going through so much frustration I finally gave up and settled for the cigarillos that are still legal for import.

The American Djarum Specials are the strongest ones I've tried, so if you're looking for strong, they're the way to go - haven't tried the Blacks so can't comment.

If you want sweet like the 76s then the Select and Bali Hai are pretty good - the Bali Hai are the stronger of the two.

Where to find them?

Head shops, cigar shops and mom and pop liquor stores which sell smokes and run by Indians - that's at least been my experience in Florida in the Orlando area.

Thank you but I cannot physically stomach the “cigars” sold in the US. I’ve tried many times over the last 14+ years and they just make me ill. I don’t find any similarities between them and the cloves I smoke 😔 Thank you for the reply tho

Im sorry to hear about your experiences with the 76s

This whole thing is absolutely ridiculous

Ugh, I feel bad for you then as cloves are too unique to easily find substitutions and replacements.

If you're desperate enough, the wife says that she used to smoke the Camel cool crush cigarettes when she couldn't find cloves, but sadly, that's my last suggestion.

Yeah….i just can’t do regular tobacco and I know that sounds weird cause kreteks have tobacco in them but the Browns I smoke are *very* heavily flavored and strong. Any regular cigarette turns me green. Same with the clove “cigars” because of that tobacco leaf

Inconvenient no doubt 😔

But yeah, it’s either real cloves or going cold turkey

Jeremy got me as well. 😐 Agreed D is good...
I'm sorry you're having the brown issues. And sorry I have no helpful info either. The cigars/cigarillos are dreadful.
Tried but also could not deal with them.
Quite intetested tho about your us supplier. I don't of know of them! Had one years ago but lost touch.
Would you let me know?
I myself am Djarum super fan.
We east coasters are going thru same type of issues. Really sux. Hang in best you can!

It likely is only going to get worse with the imports, especially if the menthol cigarette ban the Democrats are threatening goes through.

@#$% Obama as he's the one who started this problem with his flavored cigarette ban.

No. The FDA wants to ban menthols. Biden has actually STOPPED the ban several times.

And yeah, smoking is bad but so are a LOT of things. Things that are perfectly legal. Hell, they banned cloves claiming that they tempt kids to smoke because they taste good?!? THEY SELL WEED IN CANDY NOW! Legally. Weed infused candy!

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with that. If people want to eat weed candy then I hope they enjoy it. I just find it ridiculous that cloves get banned cause “think of the children!!” but MARIJUANA CANDY DOESNT

I’m angry if you can’t already tell
I stabbed the wall in my kitchen during a nic fit
Things are not going well at the moment

Biden only held them back because he's afraid of losing the black vote as they are the #1 market for menthols and back during Obama's flavored cigarette ban, Sharpton threatened riots if menthols got banned.

They can't help themselves though, so it'll happen eventually - that or they'll hit us with some obscene tobacco tax like Australia, where the tax is around $25 per PACK.

If memory serves, I actually found the info on the importer licensing on the custom's website - sorry, but it was half a decade ago.

If you have an Indonesian contact, simply let that person know that all that happens is customs seizes the smokes - the contact can also use a bogus name/address when shipping if they're still paranoid.

If memory also serves, customs is far less likely to seize stuff coming in via UPS as UPS does its own checks of stuff - yes, four cartons is the legal limit - the reason why almost no one uses UPS is that it is REALLY expensive - even with the 300% markup the folks in Indonesia charge you, UPS costs more than the smokes themselves.

But if this person is willing not to gouge you too badly - ten packs to a carton so at $10 a carton, you pay them $20 and the cost of shipping via UPS - the average monthly income there is $90 USD, so shipping you four cartons is two weeks pay for them - you offer me two weeks pay to perform an hour or two of easy work and buying, packing and shipping something to you that's ( ... )
