Glug, Glug

A few months ago my company installed water coolers for our use. There is one directly outside my office. During each use it makes the requisite “glug, glug” as water is dispensed and large air bubbles make their way towards the water’s surface inside the bottle. Every time I hear that sound I think of my grandfather. He passed away

ok mister, here's the plan... keep writing personal rememberances like this and when you've got a stack of em, print em out and have them bound into a short story anthology. you can have it done at kinko's or any copy store for a reasonable price. save them and give them as gifts to your daughters when they are older or now and read them as bedtime stories? you have the talent to tell your stories, just got to get them in book form!

I can understand your parents' hesitancy to let you go to the funeral....but I am glad they yielded to your wishes. I think that kind of thing should be up to the individual...

Likewise I think it is horrible to MAKE a child go to a funeral...no one should do that..

You are obviously well adjusted in any case..so your parents did lots of the right things...
