Kyuhyun's going to have his highs and lows, but Heechul's ultimate goal in the end is like you said - just get him to be himself again. That's going to be the best cure for him in the long run is to just continue on with life normally. That's why Heechul talks to him so much even though Kyuhyun's responses before were limited to movement and now are probably going to be a bit slow because he has to write everything out. It's also a good way to get the couple to bond.

As for chapter four? In my head, but it might be brewing a little to the surface. n__n Depends.
