You know you've been reading Detective Conan too long when people say that Ran and Aoko look alike or that Heiji shares the same face with Kaito and Shinichi and you wonder what sort of drugs they're on.

Really, I've never seen the supposed "omg twinz" thing for Ran and Aoko, like, ever. I just don't get it.

I think it might be in the hairstyles? At the least the way their hair frames their face is very similar. And yeah, they're similar, but there's always been a very noticeable difference for me, in the eyes and face shape. At least Aoko always looks way younger to me, lol. They're not the mirror images Kaito and Shinichi are, so it weirds me out when so many writers or tropes pull the "identical stranger" thing for Ran and Aoko, and I'm just like "but...but they're not D:".

Of course, it also may just be that I'm so used to Gosho's art style by now that I can tell pretty much anyone apart instantly - the only two he draws with deliberately identical faces is Shinichi and Kaito, I think. There's subtle differences between all the other "lookalikes" besides hair. When you spend years staring at it I suppose any difference is obvious! XD
