The one piece of advice my parents gave me about debit is to attack the little things first. So gather the first and foremost small important thing and get rid of it. Next, look at what you need and what you don't need, and maybe try to sell that off. If you have internet, cancel it, use the stuff at school. Don't drive your car extra places, plan a route to save gas, and if a supermarket is on the way that will save another trip. By getting rid of the smaller things, you can make room for attacking the big debit. John is very right about trying not to eat out, and buying bulk on food.
You can avoid debit Hilary, and this will build your character and make you a stronger woman. If you need any help constructing a plan my phone is always on.
