Well, it's actually strictly speaking canon, but they've never talked about their relationship. There are a couple of photos of them as kids, but they've never said they're reallly good friends, on the other hand, Jae says Hyunjoong is his closest friend. And it's obvious that he and Taegoon are tight. Still, there's very little, Jaejoong/Taegoon and Jaejoong/Hyunjoong fic. No one actually knows what any of them are like together. And I've long wondered if Yeh and Jae are close. Maybe they drifted apart. Maybe they were never that close.
