What?! Why are there so many votes for Thor's Chariot? That's when we first really meet Thor and the Asgard for the first time. And they are amazing. And the team is like "dayum, there are some really powerful people in the galaxy who aren't trying to kill us."
And it has more votes than Bane? An episode which is basically just Teal'c rolling around on the floor while an alien bug gestates inside him?
Rodney was SO over-the-top arrogant in this episode (intentionally), it's rather funny that he became the Rodney we know now without losing character continuity. Bizarre! :D I like to imagine him remembering this episode in his post-Atlantis days -- him thinking of how Sam was grasping at straws to save her friend and now that he's part of a team he does the same sort of thing. And maybe thinking... "Sam was right." but that's probably just wishful thinking on my part. heh.
This episode makes me laugh and cringe ad laugh again!! Oh Rodney, how far you have come, and yet you're still the same in many ways!!!
And maybe thinking... "Sam was right." but that's probably just wishful thinking on my part. heh.
There's fic for this, more than one I'm sure, but the only one I can think of is Casting Stones by liketheriverrun, that mentions 48 Hours in it.
I always think that if a certain infirmary scene hadn't occured in Redemption, they'd have had a lot more trouble getting us to believe Rodney isn't all that bad really - that scene showed us another side of him! Plus he helped at the end of the episode to write the program that saved O'Neill. Redemption for him too? :)

yes - THIS!!
Granted, the early sg-1 seasons are more fresh in my mind as they're what I've most recently watched, but WOW... so much was in every episode.

Aside from the plot being so-so, the green screen in that episode was far below what SG1 usually had at that time.
