I've always thought we can get used to mediocrity and being lumped with the majority, but our existential Selves can't endure that concession. Med life is tough, when we are constantly put to test (literally and figuratively), and then we doubt our abilities. The sad part, we don't even fully accede to the way they measure our skills. And in the absence of more accurate markers for intelligence, we let ourselves be absorbed by the system.

And then suddenly, it hits you. Maybe the system is not jammed. Maybe, you are really not as good as you think you are.

I don't know. It gets more confusing the more I think about it. Let's just have a Games Night soon.

I've been thinking about going to med school for months now (just graduated with a BS) and after reading this blog i'd like to have a few more months! You make it sound like med school is hell on earth.-.-

haha. it kinda is.

but I knew what I was getting into when I signed up for this.

the doctors tell us med school isn't THAT bad when looked at in retrospect... so I'm just weathering the storm for now and crossing my fingers that I make it through the other side better.
