Math test
I don't normally do venting posts to this magnitude, but I feel I must today.
This, as you can tell by the subject of my post, is about the math test I took today.
Okay, I get there, and he hands the test back. 8 pages long. I look it over real quick, there's a lot of stuff, but I know how to do everything on the test, so I smile and say to myself "I'm going to get a good grade on this test."
50 minutes later, no one has left the classroom, I'm working on the 4th page after skipping some arithmetic crap on the 3rd (and thus not getting the answer to the problem), and the kid in front of me is asking if we're going to have another day to finish the test. I was the second one to turn in my test, and it's because I had to get to my next class (if you know Dr. O'Donnell, you'd understand). I would have stayed a little longer, but I wanted to go to 330 today and there was a class in that room for the next class time period. I stayed as late as I could without coming in late to Dr. O'Donnell's.
All I have to say is WHAT THE HELL!!!!! DDDDDX
I think he was testing us on the wrong aspect of math. I understand arithmetic is necessary, but in a class like this, you can't expect us to do THAT MUCH arithmetic for a 50 minute class period test. And yes, I was using a calculator to do the multiplication and stuff for me so I'd get through it faster. Most of my time spent on doing those problems was spent on the arithmetic behind solving the problem, and not the actual idea of how to solve the problem.
Yeah, I'm pissed.
The sad thing is, the last test in this class was similiar. It was only 6 pages long, but I still didn't do a whole page because I didn't have the time to go back to it and even work on it (I had skipped it because I couldn't remember how to do it and the problem was worth less than the rest of the questions on the test), and I had to stop on the problem I was working on so I could turn it in (I was almost done with it, but I had to get to 330).
This prof is really making me angry. X(
