We burned out our Sharp Carousel microwave oven tonight, heating up potatoes. It lasted twelve years so no real complaints; in fact I'd like to get another Sharp, but the new models don't seem to be well-loved.
Any recommendations? Spending under $100 would be ideal.

Also, let me know if you're planning to wait a while to get a new one, so I will know not to bring microwaveable food when I come to hang out with Pinkerton next month. ;)

It seems to me that CR could make a fair amount of money by selling one-time access to specific reports--like I'd be willing to pay, say, $1.99 for their microwave oven report, but a monthly subscription is less attractive because I don't need their advice that frequently.

My folks still have a microwave that is older than me, and it's still going strong. I think it's a Toshiba.
