Sunday - 1:00 or 2:00 which ever works better for you. I'm thinking a re-do on that hazelnut brown butter cake; are you okay with a do over for our cake? It'll be the first do over but I really want to see if I can pull off a chiffon cake with a little more aplomb. If it sucks I've socked away some brownies in the freezer, just in case.

It's a learning experience, and you're doing a great job. You're improving. And that's great.
Are people coming to you and saying your job is in jeopardy because you aren't performing up to expectations?
Why was the meeting canceled? Was it due to something that you did, or something out of your control? Sometimes meetings get canceled, yk?
I know this is unrelated, but I don't want to forget to tell you again... Donalds has that super hot sunrise tofu. They currently have at least 4 packages that I saw.

Thank you for the reminders of what exactly I am learning and the competencies I'm adding to my arsenal - some very practical like your suggestion regarding time limited response windows, and some more nebulous like an understanding of what the research environment can entail. My job doesn't seem to be in jeopardy - other than my main supervisor, most people seem to be of the opinion that the majority of my wobblies are someone else's fault. (Why yes, that does make me feel even guiltier - but apparently I'm just built that way ::grin::)
I called David as soon as I read about the tofu - I totally expected him to drop the phone and go running to get some. Strangely he didn't. Maybe I'll have to stop on the way home and pick some up.
