That sounds tasty. I love grainy bread - when I was a kid it was all we had around the house and I always craved white bread so I could squish up the insides and make bread balls.

Clearly the only answer is an entire bag of Tings. Or, if you're feeling dairylicious, Little Bear Crunchitos. That would have cheered me right up. :D

My lunch was take out from T&T. Heh.

What are these "Tings" you speak of my friend? They sound... interesting.

Mmmmm... T&T take out. I need a Japanese/Fujiya/Chinese/T&T/noodle fix sometime very soon.

Tings are the vegan equivalent to crunchy cheesies. They're made by the same people that make veggie booty and pirate booty, and they're really, really, REALLY good. Drive carries them, if you want to try them. And nowadays we usually have some on hand because they are the cure-all when it comes to Tomas. They're expensive enough (as any prepared snack food is, really) that we don't like buying them enough, so we don't even let ourselves eat them any more - just keep them around for Tomas! Otherwise we were going through them nightly.

my favorite lunch goes like this:

take a plate. add a big chunk of worthy bread. Add a somewhat smaller chunk of worthy cheese. Sprinkle with a dried meat product of your choice. fill any remaining space with fruit. Eat with your fingers.

And what, my friend, makes a bread or a cheese worthy? I know what makes a bread or cheese (or olive or fruit or ....) worthy for me but I just thought I would check in on what other people require for worthiness.

Eating with your fingers is essential.

"It matters not to me another's definition, for I will not eat her lunch." -- Someone Famous Never Said This

Uhm... my standards for worthy bread and cheese are pretty pathetically low. they just need to be greater than kraft american slices and wonderbread, and I'm good. beyond that, it's a combination of whim and whatever's on sale at the supermarket.
