You've reached Bitter Suite? It's a good show that I still remember the titles after all of these years of not talking to anyone about this show.

God, I love this show like crack! I want to vid it, picspam it, read fic about it, write fic about it, and generally just give it a big hug!!!!!Xena was my first show love that I sought out fans for. Oh, yeah, I watched "Bitter Suite" late last night/early this morning and it was so very awesome!!!!! I'm going to go look and see if they made a cd of that episode, and if they didn't, I'm going to make my own!

And yes, the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle is awesome. :-)

Seriously, honestly, I can't believe that I'm saying this... but I think that I love them more than Madeline/Operations. I feel much better after admitting that.

Ah, Bitter Suite. I wasn't originally fond of the episode but it was necessary. I can finally admit that it needed to be a musical too. I've come a long way!

You like Xena/Gabrielle better than Madeline and Operations? Interesting. Well, I do to. But Xena was my first fannish-type show love so I have very little objectivity there. :-)

Interesting point about Hope. I used to have so many thoughts on Hope! (I'll wait until you finish to share them.) But I never thought of her as an alien baby until she . . . well did something very similar to another hybrid child on my list. Xena was very insistent that Hope wasn't a human child at all. Not even part human. I'm not sure what Hope was. I was intrigued by her, though. Hmm.

Now you make me want to rewatch eps like Maternal Instincts! That was a damn fine episode.

With Bitter Suite, yeah, a musical wasn't exactly what I was expecting; but there was just so much hurt, so much love, so much everything that a normal episode wouldn't cure.

Well, admittedly, Xena/Gabrielle is a little easier to ship than M/O, and M/O is really about loving one half of the pairing. While I tend to prefer Gabrielle, I'm still interested in Xena's story and I was never all that invested in Paul's story.

And with TR, there was love but there was also a lot of hate. Sometimes, I just wanted them to walk away from each other.

Re Hope: I kind of figured that she would be trouble from the beginning, but some part of me believed that she had some humanity in her.

Maternal Instincts! That was a damn fine episode.Oh, god, I was in tears after that one. Xena/Gabrielle finding Xena's son dead, Gabrielle sitting next to Hope's body while thinking about taking her own life, the funeral fire where Gabrielle tells Xena that she loves her ( ... )

It can be a little campy, but if you liked LOTS, you will love Xena. Xena is like Cara but better! Trust me, Lucy Lawless in Xena >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lucy Lawless in BSG!!!!

And Gabrielle....well, let's just say that I love her!!! And after she got her staff in the middle of the first season, there was no longer any competition between her and Kahlan!!

I would talk about Xena/Gabrielle but I just tend to *flail* at how awesome they are together.

You can watch it on Netflix instant watch. I watched it there until the middle of the first season and then I decided that I had to own the whole show!!!

Thanks! The Xena/Gabrielle relationship really interests me. I'm generally a het shipper but have a weakness for awesome sword-wielding ladies together, so I think I could really get into the femmeslash on this one.

Yeah, I have never shipped femmeslash until Xena/Gabrielle, but it is kind of hard to ignore this pairing. I have this theory that the reason that I fell for them so hard and so fast was because they share a key similarity to Madeline/Operations.

Not to spoil you too much, but they start to play around with TR's problem of being *so good for each other that they are bad for each other.*
