Age: Physically 14, officially recognized as "unknown".
Time Period: After the Central Island incident; when she's left in the inn room with Poisson
Wing Color: The color of the Krosophie flower.
History: i can summarize i swear
Personality:

On the surface, Sophie seems to be quite simple. She doesn't talk much, doesn't understand much, and just plain doesn't do much -- she merely appears to be a follower, following her friends wherever they go. However, on the inside, she's a mess of emotions and triggers, and pushing one of these will cause her to change from her usual quiet self.

When she was found by Asbel and Hubert, she was basically a clean slate. Asbel's actions formed the way she thinks and the way she acts.

More specifically, she was largely influenced by their vow of friendship. Asbel, Richard, and her all vowed to be friends forever, no matter what. She takes that very seriously; it gives her a specific sense of attachment to those two. Sure, she is attached in some way to the other members of the party, but those two are the two who recieve her special attention. They're the two who warrant the maximum amount of emotion from her, whether good or bad.

Asbel is easily the most important person to her. She's been with him the longest, and when they were children, he was really all she had in the beginning. He took her and tried so hard to bring her memories back; he did so much for her. And she really had no where else to go, so it wasn't like she had much of a choice. But she soon grew attached to him, and after their vow of friendship, she felt a special kind of attachment to him (as well as Richard).

Even after she came back to life without her memories of her childhood, she still grew easily attached to him. The more time she spends with him, the more she gets attached to him. He's kind, helpful, protective, and doesn't give up on her. She sees him as an important, protective figure that she can always stick with and go to. She'll often hide behind him if Pascal is trying to touch her because she trusts him and knows he won't let anything happen to her. It's impossible to separate her from him (unless by force, of course, but she'll still do all she can to reach him). Of course, she has the same protective feelings towards him. He's like a fatherly figure to her, really.

Richard gives her the most inner conflict. They're supposed to be friends forever. When it starts to seem like they may not be friends anymore, she gets scared. That vow means a lot to her, even during the time when she can't even remember it, so she starts to mentally break down. It chips away at her, and she's afraid she'll even have to fight him. Fighting Richard would not only mean fighting him, but everything he means to her. Friends don't fight each other; friends help each other when it's needed, and are happy when the other is.

When he attacks Asbel, however, is when she's set off. Asbel is her friend too, and she's developed a need to protect him (and everyone else, of course, but he gets her special attention). Without thinking, she attacks Richard; she attacks her own friend. It's a reflex to protect, especially when it's Asbel she's protecting. The need to protect has been engraved in her, and she jumps at the chance to do so.

From then on, she's even more terrified than she was before. She doesn't like the thought of fighting a friend at all, and she comes to terms with the fact that she may actually have to do that. She doesn't want to, but she will if she has to. She wants to save her friend, and Asbel's words -- when he tells her they'll save Richard because he's a friend -- can help her greatly. But she always has that fear and worry in the back of her mind, the fear that she may have to fight her own friend again, and may even lose him forever.

She can be easily brought to believe that either everything is okay, or everything is not. She wants to believe in Richard, and a part of her hangs onto her belief in him, and her belief that they're still friends. If all of his "bad" signs fade away, her belief in their friendship prevails over her belief that he might be gone. She wants to believe he's okay even more than she believes he isn't. It's easy to tip it in favor of believing in their friendship.

Her intense need to protect stems from her childhood, a lot of it coming from the childhood incident. All of her friends were hurt, and she died. She works hard to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again, and even reminds herself that things like that won't. Any time something bad happens to a friend, she'll practically lose her ability to think straight, and just do what she needs to in order to ensure their safety. She died protecting her friends -- that proves how far she'll go.

Which brings her to her problems with death. Death honestly frightens her -- everything just goes ... black. Every time she thinks about it, she gets this terrifying feeling. She has no idea what it means to actually die. She's afraid that once again the time will come for her to die, and she wonders if she'll be able to meet everyone again, like she got to this time. Even when Kurtz dies, she has to try and realize that they can't meet him again -- he's never coming back.

She's a pretty curious person, though, and asks questions very often. This could also be attributed to the fact that most of the time, she has no idea what the others are talking about, but she can also be pretty curious, too. There are a lot of things she wants explained, and there are a lot of things she just doesn't know.

One of which being her life before meeting Asbel and Hubert seven years ago. She wants her memories back, but at the same time, she doesn't. She's afraid of getting them back. Her friends are working so hard to help her regain them, and she feels as though something bad might happen if she doesn't. But she knows she can't escape whatever fate may hold for her and her memories, so she'll press on anyway. At times, she can be quite good at pushing her fears aside, but that isn't most of the time, seeing as 90% of the time, they're busy clouding her mind.

Also, she is almost always wearing her poker face. She's difficult to read, and she's not exactly the best at knowing what to say. It's hard for anyone else to tell what she's thinking, unless she either a.) flat out says it, or b.) makes it obvious by breaking her poker face to show another emotion. The party understands this, though, and has to teach her a lot about human emotion -- like what is means to be sad or happy.

Finally, I feel it is absolutely necessary to mention that kanitama is her ~true love~. It is a dish made with crab and egg (pretty much an omelette with crabmeat), and it is the ~most wonderful dish in the world~. It deserves its own national holiday, even! There is no food better than kanitama. Ever.

Strengths:
→ Physical
»Sophie has very clear physical strengths, as she proves to be quite the skilled fighter throughout the game. She has powerful punches, as well as powerful kicks, and can even use some healing artes. She is also very agile, being able to flip and spin with ease.
→ Mental
»Sophie can be very determined when it comes to certain things that are important to her. She is always mentally prepared when entering a battle, and she's always got the determination to see it through. If a battle is over something important to her, she'll focus all her strength, as well as her thoughts, on winning the fight.
→ Emotional
»Sophie's emotions are the main things that drive her; her need to protect her friends being the main one. If a friend is in danger, her need to protect will immediately kick in, causing her to do whatever she needs to in order to make sure they're safe. She lives by this, and can easily become stronger if she's driven by her emotions in a situation.

Weaknesses:
→ Physical
»She isn't a human, so she's affected differently from them. Sure, she can feel pain, like humans can, but if she takes too much damage, her consequences will be different. Healing artes can only work so much on her -- at a certain point, they won't be of much use. An example would be when Richard blasts her on Central Island. Healing artes are able to get rid of her actual wounds, but they can't get rid of the real problems -- she can barely see or move, and she's still in a great deal of pain. There are different, more difficult, methods that must be used to fix her.
→ Mental
»She isn't the most knowledgeable, really. She has almost no knowledge of the world, or anything else, for that matter, though she asks questions about most things. During most conversations, she just stands there and listens, asking questions when there is something she needs to know. She's always lost in the more complicated conversations, though, and may not even pay attention. A lot of the time, party members may be talking, and she may be occupied with something completely different.
→ Emotional
»Although she can easily be powered up by her emotions, she can easily be brought down by them, too. Her conflict with Richard is an excellent example of this. Friends are extremely important to her, however when one of them seems to have turned their back on her, or attacked her other friends, she'll begin to question their friendship. It'll take up her mind completely, and she won't be able to focus on much else. She can become quite emotionally broken when this happens.

Samples

First Person:

××Sophie is ridiculously difficult to squeeze ten sentences out of, and I pushed pretty hard to get it, so if this sample isn't good, please feel free to just go straight to Q&A.××

I wonder if they'll become Krosophie ... But Asbel said Krosophie don't grow in Luceti ... [ The sound of someone digging into the earth can be heard. ] It would be nice if they did, though.

If they do, I want to give one to Asbel. I could give one to everyone else, too.

[ There is a long, drawn out silence, with the exception of digging and patting sounds, that goes on for quite a while. Then, suddenly, a voice can be heard again. ]

What if they die ... [ A pause -- even the digging and patting sounds stop. ] Where would they go? ... Would they come back again?

[ Another silence, signaling that the speaker may be taking the time to think. And then -- ] No, they won't. I'll protect them.

[ Once again, silence, while digging and patting sounds begin to be heard again. ]

Maybe they'll become Kazahana ...

Third Person:

The pain was gone. There was no explanation of how or why, but, somehow, it was gone. She could see perfectly fine, too, and move just as easily as she normally could. But -- why?

At least, that's how it seemed, until a sharp pain suddenly came from her back, causing her to wince for a moment. The pain snapped her completely back to reality, as she realized she was lying on the ground; she wasn't wearing her normal attire, either, but a white sundress. Just what exactly was going on?

She slowly pushed herself off the ground and stood up. It was odd; the last thing she remembered was being in the inn with Poisson, but -- neither the inn nor Poisson seemed to be here. She was alone, seemingly in some sort of forest. How was she going to catch up to the others if she didn't even know where they were, let alone where she was?

"Asbel? Everyone?"

No answer.

She had to find them, then. There were no other options; they could be in danger. She wasn't about to let ... that happen again. It couldn't happen again. And what if -- what if they died? Would they be able to meet her again if that happened? She was able to come back, after all. Where would they go if they didn't come back, though? -- She didn't want to think about that. She had to focus on the task at hand, and find her friends.

"Where is everyone? ... Asbel?"

All she had to do was find them, and protect them again. So she looked around for a moment. She was used to Asbel leading the way, or one of the others doing it -- she would just follow obediently. But -- she was alone.

She didn't have anyone to follow this time, only herself.
