[Although new arrivals in the city certainly aren't a surprisingly new thing, it's still worth noting when they arrive because there is no end to the unusual qualities of each one. Alex is no different in this, although you'd never know there was anything different about him just to watch him sip his coffee, a fashion magazine open in his lap

Then he spots her. How extremely refined. And...no boobs. Actually, his thought process went from the noticing a lack of boobage then proceeded to admire the otherwise flawless nature of this human being.
He changes the direction of his ambling as if still on a subconscious path and pauses over the shoulder of this girl. He smiles politely as he peers and ultimately invades this stranger's personal space.]
What magazine? Looks very fashion savvy. You look fashion savvy. Or just savvy, period.

As the young man speaks, a bright smile curls Alex's lips and he looks over his shoulder and up. His sunglasses come off and his blue-green eyes are warm and welcoming as he flips over the magazine to it's cover, the name 'Fashion' prominent on the top. When he speaks, more tenor than baritone, that voice likely doesn't quite click with the pretty woman you're looking at, does it, Vito?
In certain conditions the voice might not be the giveaway, but in Alex's case, his androgyny doesn't quite stretch that far; he definitely sounds like a guy, albeit a nice sounding guy. ]
Thank you, I certainly try.

Jesus Christ - thank God. I was beginning to wonder if I was striking up a conversation with a tragic breast cancer victim or something because you have no tits whatsoever. Dude. Dude.
[Now this person had transformed into something so much more intriguing than just savvy. He glances around and drags the nearest chair beside Alex, falling into the seat and leaning forward. He stares with wide electric eyes.]
This may be a bit forward, if not completely inappropriate, but if I don't make you want to run away from me as fast as you can at some point, I really want to try on your shoes one day. The whole dress thing doesn't really attract me, but high heels always seemed like a worthy challenge

No, not a tragic cancer survivor; although I appreciate the concern.
[His gaze never strays from Vito as he looks around and then drops into a chair next to him, looking him over intently. If it weren't for his being rather used to being stared at on any given day, Alex might be a bit uncomfortable at such scrutiny. As it is, his head tilts to one side, lips quirking in amusement.]
Not forward at all, I assure you .. particularly in comparison to some of the things I am asked on a fairly regular basis by people I've just met.
[And, in fact, he does seem completely at ease about the question.]
This look certainly isn't for everyone, nor would I expect it to be. I wear what I like and what looks flattering on my figure .. it just so happens that sometimes it winds up being a dress or skirt. Heels, though ( ... )
