Sydney is eating reasonably well and doesn't seem to be in pain, especially with the tramadol. He is obviously uncomfortable with stuff on the right side of his face (where the tumour is), but that might be as much because of his increasing loss of vision as with any kind of pain ( Read more... )

Thanks! Let me check here...

Thurs 11:15am - CLV gives .25 tramadol, leaves plate of kibble
Thurs 6:00ish - Erich gives .125-.25 tramadol, .25 appetite stimulant, begins offering wet food 30-45 min apart
Thurs bedtime - Erich leaves kibble on plate for Syd, maybe small amt of wet food
Fri morning - Erich gives .25 tramadol, offers wet food, then leaves plate of kibble
Fri 3pm -- Normally time for a tramadol
Fri 5pm or 6pm -- Erich gets home, gives .125-.25 tramadol, .25 appetite stimulant, begins offering wet food 30-45 min apart

...I think it's OK for him to be a little late on that afternoon tramadol, seeing as how he'll get the appetite pill and then food later.

We might take you up on that help offer after I leave for Burningman, if he's still holding on and comfortable then.

I'm also here if there's anything I can do.
TJ and I will be gone most of the week of Burningman but for the most part we are otherwise around. Much love.

If you need me to come over and help with him, tell me. I will be there. I totally know what you both are going through right now.

My heart is broken for all of you.

I am also here, if you just want to talk. Or cry. I can actually be a good listener.

Love you all.

I'm so sorry, it is so sad that all of our beloved animals have to die. (and people, too for that matter). I'm glad you're getting a little break. I'll see you in the desert. sending energy.

I know how it is with the crying. *I* still have my moments. But I don't think we would be Human, or capable of caring for pets if we didn't. He's truckin' along - and that is good. He'll let you know when he's had enough.
