I don't know. I can't read this post without taking to an X-rated extreme.

Thus, I think ask your husband. LOL

ROFL, too funny. I'm always amused at people who have that reaction, I mean, to me, it's just a cosmetic thing.

Erich thinks I shouldn't have it re-done at all. Of course, he also said that after I decided to start re-dying my hair after a two-month hiatus, and now he calls me his "Rainbow Princess". So I just ignore him when it comes to his opinion about mods when it's my body.

I love love love Mat at Freak Chic (formerly House of Freaks) down on Melrose.

He's done pretty much all my work, including dermal implants, surface bars, naughty parts, and that sort of tricky stuff. I've sent several friends to him for work too and they're all super happy with both the results and the experience.

He'll tell you if he doesn't think something will look good. He'll especially tell you if he thinks it'd be dangerous to do something on you. The first one, he'll still do if you insist. The second one, he has no qualms about kindly refusing.

I'm getting my tongue redone shortly (took it out a few years back, coz I had it done back in Jersey as a kid in some shithole tanning salon and it always sat funny.) I'll be going to Mat for it. I can let you know when I'm going...?

(Also I'm a big proponent of getting all your holes at once. One healing period is nicer than two.)

(and if it's not obvious, this is Chandra.)

#1: If you ever give blood, do it before your piercings. They won't take your blood after a piercing for one year.

#2: Tongue piercings... OUCH! *cries* I see one and all I can think is, "Ouch! A piece of metal was shoved through that person's tongue!" Since this is all I can think when I see them, they have no other value to me, so I'm afraid my answer would be:

(e) If you absolutely must pierce your tongue why would you do it more than once? o_O hehe...

#3: I can't remember the name of the shop where I got my last couple of piercings on Melrose. Got my nose redone recently in Studio City (Horns & Halos).

Joni, they didn't want my blood for years anyway because of the piercings, tattoos, and men I loved. Now they don't want it because of the cancer. Essentially, I can't give blood ever again unless a lot of medical science changes, so piercings (and the ever-changing rules surrounding blood donation) are the least of my issues.
