On Saturday, some of the group cosplayed for at least part of the day. And those that didn't were sad :(
Masako, staying true to his British self, was the Doctor:
Jessi made a very cute Luffy:
LittleKuriboh's panel was first up, and he packed the house! They actually had to turn people away because there were too many to fit in the auditorium. LK is a popular dude! While we waited for everyone to be seated, they played LK & Kirbopher's
video spoof of Lady Gaga ... three times. It's a 7 minute song. *dead from Lady Gaga overload*
He did his non-stealthy Naruto entrance, and the crowd went wild.
LK got your standard con-type questions, asked breathily by his adoring fans.
Next up was the TeamFourStar panel, which LK also participated in. Everybody entered the auditorium to wrestling music, chosen by Takahata :) The room was very dark for this panel, so my pictures didn't really turn out.
After the panels in the afternoon, the guests had a "meet and greet" dinner for the con attendees who had coughed up $200 for the golden ticket or whatever. So Jessi and I went in search of food for ourselves, and ended up getting ejected from what I assume was a very fine establishment. Apparently, even if you just want to eat at a place that serves alcohol in Canada, you have to be of age. Jessi's 17, so they kicked us out - lame! We just wanted fish & chips! So we got chinese instead.
When we all met up again, there were many group photos taken. Not sure why, but it seemed like a good enough time to snap some photos, so...
Me and Jessi:
Me and some guy. Everybody called him hbi2k or something:
Someone gave TeamFourStar a set of Dragon Balls ... this is what ensued:
That night Ben premiered his video, right before the 18+ panel :P That worked out well, actually. It was basically an opportunity for the guys to take their shirts off, embarrass the Englishmen on the panel and make a lot of gay jokes. Good times.
LittleKuriboh had to leave late that night/early the next morning so we had to say our goodbyes. So, he had the group do a friendship circle - awww. :)
KaiserNeko got wasted, and the rest of us were inebriated to varying degrees. We stayed up till 3am or so and amazingly were able to make it to Masako's panel at 10am the next morning. Must be all that fresh Canadian air...
