You could say that I agree 100% with what you said. I don't post personal info in Facebook (not even my name), but it's a place to contact your real life acquaintances, whereas LJ is to contact the people I only know online. For some reason, I don't want to mix them. But I don't want to abandon LJ, either, precisely because I don't want to give up those especial people I only know online, they've become important to me. For the fandom, yes, but also for their personal entries.

I hope that LJ sees reason and adds the opt-out setting so that everybody can be happy.

I do agree with what you said. Another great reason? I don't much fancy showing each and every potential employer, friend, partner, housemate and whoever know I love to ship cute boys, am sometimes prone to whining and dark poetry and am obsessed with sewing costumes and making stuff up.

Much as I'm out and proud about all that, I do like to ease people into that, thank you very much ^___^
