I'm so very, very sick right now.
Guess a hard trail race, followed by partying with six girls, who are younger than me and party a whole heck of a lot more often than me, was a bad idea after all. Also, the bride to be herself was possibly sick to begin with.

Which means I'll have to scrap my planned 20 miler on friday, unless a miracle happens. ( Read more... )

Since my last post, I did my first "real" long run. I'd never run any distance longer than 13.1 miles before (the distance of a 1/2 marathon). I've run several 1/2 marathons, but have never really run this distance in training - i.e., on my own, without the benefit of the crowd, the clock, the finisher's medal, the t-shirt, etc. It's entirely ( Read more... )

I've gone back and forth with myself about the marathon in May: Should I cancel? Should I switch to the half? But I've decided to just do it. My marathon training has been uneventful thus far, so I haven't really felt the need to reflect on my progress.

I dreamt that Leslie (Knope, of Parks and Rec) dyed her hair pink and then went missing after a fundraiser. Ben (Wyatt - her sweetie, not mine) dyed his hair blond in response but otherwise didn't seem too worried about it.

The rest of the dream was various hijinks in a swanky hotel, with the cast trying to find Leslie.

Or my ancient workhorse ipod, anyway.

I think my ipod is finally dying :( I got it the summer after I graduated from college in '05, and it's been going ever since.

But this morning, I went to fire it up and it's totally blank. I synced it yesterday. The day before that, every time I tried to sync it, it crashed my itunes.

Sad! I just hope my phone will last all day...

Apparently sharing email/facebook passwords is the new thing among teenagers to show trust or intimacy or whatever. Ack! No! That's ridiculous! And such a terrible idea!

Does anyone out there do this?
