okay, so i'm updating this BEFORE i go to the beach cuze i know that is just way to much stuff to type.
3rd of July
So we go pick up my Meme at 11 in Manassas then head into DC....get there at 12:30 (not bad for DC traffic) and check into the hotel....Holiday Inn with a Starbucks on the main floor (saweeeet!). Go to Art Museum where i spend the time trying not to bend over with horrible cramps and doing my best not to scream my head off at everybody (being female sucks sometimes)....take loads of Pamprin. Walk out of the Art Museum where we were met with a blast of hot and horribly humid air (ick) which makes us go get ice cream. We go down one block on the Mall and run (almost literally) into the Weber family! (i feel better instantly). Go back to the hotel and we all chill in our (my family's) room....Matt, Daniel, Sierra and I chill on the double beds while the adults have wine and cheese and crackers on the little table thingy.....we kids decide to go up to the Weber room......get the key, go up to the 6th floor, get out and immediatly go.....
"whats the room number?"
so instead of going back down to the room and asking, we (of course) try every.......single........door. Yes, we honest to god put the card into every single door and tried to open it.....we tried 77 rooms before finding it.......678....yes we tried 78 doors. Stop laughing.
We chill in there, and when the parental units come up to get us they couldnt believe we actually did that. But we did. STOP LAUGHING!!!! Dad, Mr.Weber, Matt, Dan, Sierra, and I take a walk at like, 6, to the Capital and the other ladies (mum, Mrs.Weber, Meme) join us there and we watch the pre-show....u know where they test the mics and everything? we watched the BACK UP BAND for the TRIBUTE band of the Beach Boys....horrible. tell ya. Then the kids and Meme go back to the hotel and Meme goes to our room to sleep and us kiddies go to the WEbers room to order Pizza....mmmmm! Pizza Hut but still. Chill and watch Family Guy. Parents come back from walking to the Jefferson Memorial at like, 11, and we go to sleep......
4th of July
Wake up at 8 (!!!) eat breakfast, and we go to watch the parade....2.5 hours long....legs get tired, and Papa joins us there. Saw a LOT of bands. Go to Natural History Museum and eat....then parents go to American History while the kids get to go to the Air and Space...have a lot of fun there, and i get made fun of for my death grip on the railing on the 'up' escalator....( i hate going 'up') and we discover an Infared camera.....that was so awesome!!!! you could see my heart beating! Matt was the ""hottest"" one of us. i was the ""Coolest"".........then we meet up with the adults and go see the American INdian museum which is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! me and matt chill on the 4th floor balcony watching everyone below us and talk. Find out he's into Philosophy ( and i like Psychology)...hm, interesting....had a lot of fun talking with him....couldnt believe he's 19 already!!!! (they grow up so fast!) haha
go back to hotel and relax some...then head out onto the mall at 8pm to get a good spot, although everysingle place on the mall and capital was taken, we found a seat. We chilled for a while there, waiting till 9:10 when the fireworks would start....we talked about when we all first met....and me and Dan got the credit for bringing both families together *score* and we laugh about past memories and inside jokes etc....take loads of crazy pictures.
9:10, fireworks start.......are BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING and AWESOME and HUGE and COLORFUL!!!!! lasted 20 freaking minutes! god, i've never seen fireworks like that! they had ones that turned into smilie faces!! :-) then we join the masses thronging back to the hotels....the hotel has a BBQ in the garden, and we eat there (4.50 for a hotdog, drink, and chips!!!) the parents stay outside while us 4 go back up to the Webers room....decide to see if Pool is open...go up to the roof, it is..........stand behind the lawn chairs up there looking at the water debating whether we should go in...decide not to....head back to elevator.
Sierra started it. I blame her.
*get off elevator at 6th floor. She grabs ice from icemaker
*she proceeds to try and put it down Dan's shirt
*i get a piece of ice, and try to get Matt, who goes into the room....we all follow....
*a frenzy Caitlin=Matt and Sierra=Dan icecube-down-shirt war breaks out for a good 20 minutes....Sierra looses badly, and me and Matt both tied
*parents knock on door. We act normal, although our shirts are spotted with water and we're sweaty and panting...and theres ice on the floor everywhere
*phone rings..........security. uh-oh. They report loud disturbance, and we gotta keep it down. hm....parents arent happy
*gotta act nice cuze parents are in the room
yeah.....so we had a great time. I successfully got 5 more pieces of ice down Matts shirt in their presence...and he had to sit and act normal...while ice is melting on his back........hehe ;-) said goodbye to them since they have to leave early cuze he has to work at 11am...HAHA!
5th of July.........today
go to American History museum with parents and grandparents and look round there.....stop in at Manassas for a few seconds, then head home....home at 5ish?? went to get gas and cash paycheck, now have to pack for VA Beach cuze im leaving tomorrow at 10am!
well, shall update after i get back from the beach with more stories....and more sunburns! After i get back i'm freaking working Wed-Sun, every day, going in at 5, then 20-25, every day, going in at 5....j-o-y. So i have Sun Mon Tue and the 18th to do something!!!! but on Mon or Tue the family may head back into DC cuze my dad knows someone behind the scenes in the Art Museum and they are letting us go behind the scenes and see where they restore pictures and have all the stuff in storage so that is AWESOME! :-) let me know if u want to do something, and call me on my cell, cuze i get full service at the beach.......later ya'll
