The man shot by police in the London subway system during the second string of attempted bombings has turned out not to be a bomber. He was a Brazilian who apparently ran because his visa expired. When police caught him he was shot 8 times. Now the family is sueing the British police! Why are they even ginving this case a chance in court ( Read more... )

They were police officers that asked him to stop. The police are only doing their job...why does everyone seem to pick on the police and not the suspect when a mistake is made? All I really see on the news is people bashing the police about and not the Brazialian man.

So you think they should have just let him run on to a train. Do you realize why they shot? They shot fearing he would detonate if thery didnt. And if he ran how the hell are they supposed to know his nationality? Even natioanlity doesnt matter, terroist come from different nationalities. He shouldnt have ran in the first place. the police are not at fault, they had no way of knowing and if this situation changes the way they react...this might happen again but only to someone with a bombb that will have the oppurtunity to detonate.

And the fact that he ran into a subway just after a string of bombing attempts gives the police even more reason to do it!

Sure, now that we know hes innocent its sad, but risking the lives of dozens just because the police do not have 100% proof hes a bomber is complete BULLSHIT! I think your living in a owrld which is a dream. things happen.

It sickens me that police are the bad giuys when something like this happens...not the actually person trying to escape!

Well if he did have a bomb and ended up killing 30 or soemthing people we would be asking "The police had a clear shot? Why didn't they do it?"

This idiotic '(Anonymous)' character is pulling things out of his ass. He talks about the mass hysteria of 'cold hearted authoritarian' and 'better him than me' bullshit he likes to pull out of his ass probably because he's a wannabe neo-liberal and buy his punk-rock t-shirt. I wouldn't talk about trendy 'cold-hearted authoritarian' when as far as I know every bloody yank teenager runs around protesting productive G-8 summits and complaining about the Western World's just self-defense while Islamic extremists run left and right taking advantage of European freedom. Anyway, this character vomits rhetorical bullshit like "why would a terrorist run" and doesn't seem to understand the concepts of 'suicide bombers' which need to run into places and detonate themselves. The Police were just under these circumstances. If were going to pick at every bloody thing the police do and limit them to the point where they become utterly useless and bound beyond belief. Why would he run? The Police tried to stop him...THATS WHY!

He iddnt just run for a show..thats when they run..to avoid caopture before their job is done!

And yet another person claiming that you knowe nothing unless you live it! Are you stupid? Thats expalins why you seem to not unerstand anything abotu thsi situation. To make a difference in this world and to see it for what it is you must study it outside of your locale!

Well he was at fault! The point isnt that he was in trouble or why he was. The problem is that he ran into a subway after bombing attempts in subways as the police wanted to stop him.

The police killed someone for a crime which you shouldnt die for, but they killed him under the circumstance that he could kill numerous others.

You can't look at every thing so simple and bland. "He did nothing wrong and got killed by police." Theres a million other factors. But I couldn't possible know any of those, I know nothing about life, I don't even breath because I live in the sub-urbs. Christ. Ignorance.
