I went to see Mogwai at Oxford Brookes on Saturday night. They were very good, and very loud - that was indeed the loudest gig I've been to, just as I was led to expect. My ears were still ringing through most of Sunday - they started to clear up late afternoon. They played a varied set, with some bias towards the new album 'Mr. Beast' obviously.

Well mortgages have been mentioned but obviously we have to wait until I'm earning money. Apparently there is to be no sitting at home while Dave goes to work for me.

Dude I realise you probably will never read this comment, but there is a direct bus from Abingdon to Witney. Robin used to catch it every day.

Yeah, I know there's a direct bus now... that's the one I used to get when I came to the club straight from work. It would still mean two buses to work though because that bus doesn't go anywhere near my parents' house... so I'd have to get the bus into Abingdon centre first (or walk there). It worked well for Robin 'cos he lived near the centre, but out at Peachcroft it probably wouldn't have much advantage over getting the X3 into Oxford and then the 100 out to Witney.
