Awww, that's great! My daughter was 23 months when her brother was born and she wasn't able to really understand what was going to happen either. She was pretty interested in him once he was born, though; she even cried when we left him with a friend one day because she thought we were giving him away! :-O

Congratulations :D

We plan to bring a present for our son in the hospital, to tell him it's from his sister/brother. Right now, he just wants to see a lot of pictures of babies. We'll see...

Bringing a present is a nice idea :D

When I was in the hospital we couldn't get my daughter very interested in the baby--she wasn't upset, just not interested. Actually, she was a little scared I think to find me in a bed in a strange place. But I remember being 2 when *my* brother was born and I wasn't upset by the hospital. I think your son will do just fine with his family there to love him and the new addition. :D

Thank you! I think it's a good difference of age for two siblings, and the parents: we have all training for breast feeding, bottles and nappies!
