An account of real Christian persecution in North Korea

This is humbling. Strange that the place to be the best Christian possible is where the world is probably the harshest towards you.

:(.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't afraid of that kind of treatment. At the same time, it makes me embarrassed to think about how I've made use of my liberty.

Very humbling. I hope God turns this nasty persecution into something beautiful. I want to believe that ultimately, those guys weren't tortured in vain.

How's it going in Malaysia? Is your government ensuring the rights of Christians and other religious minorities?

I haven't been paying much attention to the news -- I'm really tired and jaded by politics. My congregation hasn't been affected by anything much, but I'm pretty sure there's some anti-Christian hate speech going on somewhere.

karcy, I feel the same way. Here I am, worried about how to speak about my faith to my friends and coworkers, when people are suffering unspeakable torment by people that one should be truly afraid of. I feel so false next to people who are truly tried and tested, and come through the refining fire as pure as gold.
