I know the Church in Mexico has spoken out already against the (satanic?) cult of Santa Muerte*, but I believe she needs to be more forceful. "Santa Muerte" has absolutely no place in the Catholic Church, and people who follow this cult of violence absolutely cannot reconcile it with Christianity ( Read more... )

Its followers are drug lords, they probably don't pay attention to what the Church says anyway.

The Church in Mexico also needs to stop accepting their tithes. It's blood money.

I know there are pagan elements to certain Christian groups but this is a bit much. Jesus conquered death, why the heck would a Christian worship it?

Live by the sword, die by the sword. Sadly that's the mindset many people there have, despite the Church telling them differently. It's not too dissimilar of a mindset from the ghettos in the States. Churches works in these communities, some seeds are sown and lives are changed, but death and destruction are still present.
