RP Log ~ Cray
In which Cecile alerts Cray to keep his eyes peeled for the mysterious monster lumbering around Budehuc!
Cecile: *scampering across the courtyard making a ruckus, clearly not looking where she's going*
Cray: *He was sitting nearby, on the steps, though his attention was obviously elsewhere. His bright eyes looked unfocused, staring out at nothing in particular*
Cecile: *nearly trips over Cray's foot and swerves off to the side to catch her breath* H-hey!! That's dangerous to be sitting there like that, you know! *HYPOCRITE*
Cray: *looks up slowly* huh... sorry...
Cecile: You should be!! *scolding point* There's a big hairy... well, I don't quite know what it is, but it's running around Budehuc and I'm going to figure out what it is! Have you seen it??
Cray: ... a big hairy i-don't-know? Could you elaborate more?
Cecile: It's... it's... *spreads her arms out wide* It was like this big!!! And hairy--!!!!
Cray: Uhh... Is it some kind of monster...?
Cecile: *flusters and lowers her voice* You know there's no such thing... I mean, there can't be!!!! *pulls back after a moment* Ohmygosh didn't we just meet?! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be scaring you like this!!! *bows rapidly*
Cray: Don't worry about it... what do you mean no such thing as a monster? Monsters are everywhere...
Cecile: Yeah, but those kinds of monsters aren't the same as like... a ghost monster. ;_____; If it disappears like that, you know?!
Cray: *is becoming rather CONFUSED here* .. uh..so you're saying that hairy thing's a ghost? *scratches the back of his neck idly*
Cecile: D: *waves her arms, definitely not making sense* But it disappeared!!!!
Cray: That doesn't make it a ghost... Anyway I havn't seen anything huge and hairy around here...
Cecile: *exhales* Then maybe... I'm just seeing things???
Cray: Maybe... or maybe this creature is fast. *shrugs* I don't know.
Cecile: Faster than me?! I don't think so!!! *puffs out* I'll have you know I'm the commander of the guards and I keep an eye on all of Budehuc!!!!
Cray: As fast and commander-y you may be, you can't be everywhere at once... You only have
two eyes and one attention.
Cecile: ... *somber expression* Someday when I am a mommy, I'll have eyes in the back of my head too you know.
Cray: Heh perhaps. Are you the only guard around here? Maybe you should hire some people, let them be your eyes.
Cecile: I have other guards! *stubbornly stomps her foot* But I'm the commander, and that's different!!
Cray: ..Right... *obviously can't get through to this child* Well..ask them to look out for the uh..hairy...thing.
Cecile: I will!! And... if you see it, you better let me know about it too, right???
Cray: Sure... if you need it killed let me know. I used to deal with monsters alot...
Cecile: *pride is poked* I can handle it fine on my own, thank you very much sir......
Cecile: ... D: *can't remember his name*
Cray: Oh.. my name's Cray... Who are you again?
Cecile:... I'm Cecile~!!!!! The commander of the guards!! ... *swipes up the closest dog nearby, Koichi* Do you like dogs??
Cray: Ah I think you asked me that before. Yeah I like dogs...
Koichi: *sniffs at Cray*
Cray: *pets the doggy~*
Cecile: You'll keep an eye out okay??
Cray: Will do... Oh uh.. is there anywhere I can stay in this castle? I have nowhere yet, and I dont have anywhere to go, either. I dont know where the hell I am so I'm probably wisest to stay here...
Cecile: What?! Well... well, I told you that you're at Budehuc, so it's not my fault you didn't listen!! But... I suppose you could stay at the boat or in the manor!!
Cray: No thats not what I mean. I don;t know where Budehuc -is-. What country, what continent even...
Cecile: We're a free trade zone between the Grasslands and Zexen. *blinks* But those are your two options for living!!
Cray: ... Grassland and Zexen, really!? that far!? ... Damn.
Cecile: *nodnodnod* So where would you like to room? :D *unphased*
Cray: I don't really mind, wherever's most peaceful, I guess.
Cecile: Hm... the boat then!!!!
Cray: Alright. Mind showing me the way?
Cecile: *points her spear to the manor* It's this way! *scampers off, not waiting for Cray*
Cray: *no matter, he's tall enough that his walking stride could easilly catch up to her*
Cecile: *scurries up the stairs* What's nice about the boat is that how many other people do you know who live on a boat on land??
Cray: boat on land huh? did it crash or something?
Cecile: I think it was blown over in a storm! *reaches a corner and turns, going down a dank, darker hallway into a dirty patch, just before the entrance onto the boat*
Cray: Isn't it unstable...?
Cecile: No, why would it be? *blank look*
Cray: Well you know... ships are kind of...designed for water...not land =D;
Cecile: I think it's adapted nicely! *reaches the top of the boat and exhales* See how pretty it is? It gets awfully windy up here though. There are a few open rooms on the lower deck!
Cray: Yeah it is nice here... alright I'll grab one of the open rooms. Thanks!
Cecile: *salutes* You are very welcome Sir Clay!! ... ... *has a feeling she messed up his name D: *
Cray: Uh, it's Cray...
Cecile: Right! I got it!! Keep an eye out for that monster!!!
