I'm laughing. WTF.

I spent a little time with the other folks in Kat's head yesterday. Without going into too much detail, I somehow ended up in a conversation with (a comedically mild-mannered non-super-saiyan) Broli from DBZ and his blue haired, pointy-eared wife (WHAT?), who, somehow for some reason is also one of Raditz's (three?!) sisters. Due to lack of ( Read more... )

I met one of Erin's old characters once. Some kind of demon kid who used to hang around in her head a lot, before the new guy moved in with his weird space family and scared her off.

Not that I miss her or anything. She was like the Mary Sue from hell.

Oh, and uh ... now that I've made a wonderful first impression, it's nice to meet you, sir.

Demon kid?
I've counted as the new guy in Kat's head for at least 5 years.

Sometimes even badly behaved old friends who haven't actually caused us damage are kind of nostalgic to have around.

It's not as bad of an impression as I've made in the past. At least you're not yelling at me for not finishing my combat robot.

It's nice to meet you, too, Ms. Ironhorn. I've heard quite a bit about you. ::shakes hand::

Well ... I didn't quite get her story, but I know she was some kind of half-demon or part-time demon or something like that. Apparently she also had a crush on the green guy from DBZ, but she treated him pretty badly and he ditched her. Or maybe it was the other way around.

Strictly speaking, the new guys have been in Erin's head for three, maybe four years now, but I don't think I ever bothered to formally introduce myself.

I think that's the only reason why I'm still here. Nostalgia, I mean.

Combat robot, eh? That sounds vaguely familiar. It's been a while since I watched Erin play Xenosaga, though.

Heh, thanks! [shakes hand] You can call me Laurel if that's easier, I guess. My reputation kind of gets ahead of me. Erin told you horror stories, I bet. I'm not one of the loud punks, I swear. I keep to myself.

That sounds interesting. That's kind of unusual in that sort of fanfiction. Doesn't sound too happy, though. Then again, neither do I.

I totally understand not introducing yourself. I've become the star of at least five of Kat's projects, but I've been silent for all but one.

It was an ordeal for me. The first part of the game is me digging my own grave. I don't blame Monolith for killing me early in the anime. Kat does, though.

Thanks, er, Laurel. I'll try to adjust. I'm not on a first-name basis with a whole lot of people. The stories I heard weren't horror stories, though. You sounded really cool. Kind of like Hayden, only with a backbone.

Hmm. Broli isn't a bad name. I'll just file that one away for the future along with Tiberius Rex and Ender.

What sort of middle name would go with Broli, though? And I thought you thought DBZ was gay, Mr. Simpson.

Yeah, if I wanted to see guys 'roid rage at each other while performing some kind of odd male-figure worship dick measuring contest I'd go hang out at the showers in Gold's Gym.

But Broli is a good name.

Would you continue to think it's a good name if you knew it was kinda supposed to sorta be Broccoli? (And I don't disagree with you. I think the reason Kat stuck with it was because she built her own half-world around it while ignoring a lot of canon.) Why am I the DBZ expert all of a sudden?

PS, I can see why Kat loves you so much. You make her laugh just about every time you say something, which thins out her dark clouds of SERIOUS (not that I'm not worse with the seriousness myself). She wasn't always so serious. Before FF7, she was really goofy...even though I wasn't around then, that's what I hear. I blame Hojo, of course.
