If you have the 'pleasure' of being on a virgin train that gets stuck somewhere/ turns into a bus, normally you have ample opportunity to tell staff just what you think - particularly if you are stuck on a train that has stopped, and they have started handing out free drinks.

Just wait till you see some of the GNER trains too, now cunningly designed with just about no luggage space, except above your head!

Welcome back to Britain!

Lol if they added more luggage room you'd probably complain about the reduced number of seats. C'mon Pete - the glass is half-full etc. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday!

The survey sounds a bit like one I got given on a London bus once. Having just waited 50 minutes for a supposedly 10-minute service (and then having got on another bus) I thought I was going to be able to complain. Instead I was asked where I was coming from/going and if I was taking any other form of public transport during my journey which was completely pointless. I think they just do it so they can say "we've carried out x surveys of passenger opinion in the last year".

Virgin trains I've been on are normally quite good, with luggage racks at both ends and in the middle. Unqualified luxury.

But yes, in general, Britain sucks. As a journalist (almost), I feel professionallu qualified to point this out.

Cynical alcoholic-hood here I come.

Glad you're back safe and sound :)
