Just sent out the final-by-god mix of the show I was directing short-term for Pendant. We’re doing the commentary tomorrow night, and the show goes live Monday. Very late completion, which was 100% my fault. Procrastination really

The local audio drama group sounds like a great idea - I'd been musing over that idea myself & the new practicalities that'd involve (not in any very concrete way).
Out of interest, what's the format you're thinking of directing in? Do you mean it's a special genre you want to do, or a timescale you have in mind or something?
It's okay, I know you've said you prob won't have time to answer that, but just wondering out loud anyhow. Could be an interesting road to go down and I'd love to read future posts on it if you do and if you then have time to write about it.

Take a listen to Fitzrovia Radio Theatre podcast. They're based in London, and do live shows once a month with "authentic" sound effects and good scripts. What I would like to do is a mixture of that and some continuing serials, like an adaptation of the Three Musketeers, and something like The Shadow/Red Panda. Instead of a crime show, of which there are plenty, I was thinking a pure science fiction show...like a Red Panda level parody of Flash Gordon. But I am not a good writer of fiction, so it sits in the back if my brain and festers.
