yeah, its like any other online MMORPG. They have moderators who can suspend accounts- they've been doing it since the Beta.
Actually City of Villians was a more interesting case for banishment since the charachter creator was so flexible. Someone made Osama bin laden with suicide minions, and he got banned instantly. Also anyone making a charachter looking like batman, Wolverine etc will get a warning and a chance to change the costume- they got sued by Marvel (who lost but still) over it.
My increduality here is >not< over the fact they can suspend anyones account, that I can understand, But it's the fact that their basically saying that you can't go using another *Operating System* like the Macintosh here. Because he was using WINE (a kind of MS Windows emulator for the LINUX Operating system).
Any action which triggers a Warden (Blizzard's hack tracker program) response merely flags an account as a *possible* 3rd party software violation.
The fact of the matter is, a GM would have observed his behavior in game, tried to contact him in game and been unable, domcumented everything, and then gotten confirmation from his supervisor.
Simply, it looks as though he's succeeded in getting a bit of outcry from the linux fanbase, but I don't believe a word of his story.

Yes, that is where I heard about this whole story. And as I have personally seen how some game co's have a HUGE bais against linux, I don't find his story as totally unbelievable. But, I do agree with you in that feeling he hasn't been completely truthful about what's going on, so I have to categorize this as a mixed issue situation. (Their being a little biased against linux, and he's being foolish.)
