Yup, most animation for anime are actually done in the Philippines. I found that out last year from my Japanese history class. I think it's neat!!! I think it's a good deal for Filipinos because it's not a blue-collar factory job but a high end job.
Well, it is a weird sexual innuendo song, the whole band is plain weird XD They made a special about the animators last night. I saw one artist drawing Luffy ^_^ I hope someday we can have our own animes. I'm glad to see that you have good classes this year.
Well, we just might. Taiwanese and Korean mangakas are already on the scene. We have lots of comics in the Philippines, once artists start compiling mangas, animes will follow.
=) Did school start in the Philippines yet? Or are you in the middle of the semester already?
Yeah, school started last June since it's different from the American Educational system. My semestral break will be in October so I can't wait to go back to Seattle and pick up some things. I read a couple of Philippine mangas, they have potential. I hope something will come out and finally recognize our talents in the world.

Hmmm, that would be an EXCELLENT topic for my senior thesis, if I could find enough resources on it.
