Nobody's ever got that reference before,

Basics:

1. Name: Kathaleen
2. Age: 24
3. Gender: Female
4. Do you care if you're stamped as a guy or a girl? I really don’t mind either.

In-Depth:

5. Three Words to Describe You: Generous, Random, Eccentric

6. Strengths: I get along with almost everyone relatively well as long as we keep the conversation light, and about them. This allows me to get to know people fairly quickly. I’m open minded, I try not to let ‘one’ thought rule them all although, this ‘strength’ does make me seem fairly flakey.

7. Weaknesses: Will power, I often get distracted, forget what I’m doing, and I have a high level of self doubt that, while not debilitating it is rather annoying to doubt myself. I count this as a weakness even though most of the time I ‘fake it till you make it’ through the self-doubt.

8. Dreams: They’re often vivid and involve a mall. Oh, you mean dreams as in aspirations’ of grander things? Someday I’d very much like to be a mom, aside from that I suppose like many other people, writing a novel would be a dream that I have had since I was twelve. Finally I suppose I should throw finishing college, although that’s less of a dream and more of a goal.

9. Fears: Spiders, absolute terrified of the eight legged little buggers. I think it has something to do with their hair…or eyes. Okay, so I don’t know why but they freak me out. I fear driving too fast, and not wearing a seat-belt and not being able to defend myself. Of course I generally ignore these because, if I didn’t I wouldn’t ever leave my house. If we’re talking about fears of the mind, then I fear being old and unhappy with how I’ve lived my life. I fear being a cruel and selfish person and I fear that one day I’m going to wake up and regret that I never lived or lived too much. Paradox I believe is what they call that…

10. Talents: I can curl my tongue into a clover like shape which is neither impressive or astounding it still makes me feel cool to do it. I’m over all well read and I consider that a Talent in this day and age, but maybe I’m stretching.

11. Hobbies: Reading, coloring with crayons, and the occasional paint by numbers

12. Likes: Reading again, or else it wouldn’t be a hobby. Colorful things, scarves, books in general, pens, paper, chocolate, making fudge (poorly but I still enjoy trying), and sunshine

13. Dislikes: Rudeness, days and days and days of clouds, spiders, any kind of rubber bug, germs, blood, hate, and small minded ideas that leave no room for growth.

Favorites:

14. Color? Why?: I hate this question, just so everyone knows, because it depends on the day what my favorite color is. Some day’s it’s green because I feel like being ‘nature-Y’ some day’s it’s brown because it makes me feel grounded, sometimes blue to make me feel free flowing, sometimes it’s red to make me feel powerful….

15. Animal? Why?: Raccoon’s. I’m bias simply because I had a stuffed animal when I was younger, actually I still have it, but it’s given me a fondness for the bandit creatures.

16. Quote? Why?: "I can believe things that are true and I can believe things that aren't true and I can believe things where nobody knows if they're true or not. I can believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and Marilyn Monroe and the Beatles and Elvis and Mister Ed. Listen - I believe that people are perfectible, that knowledge is infinite, that the world is run by secret banking cartels and is visited by aliens on a regular basis, nice ones that look like wrinkledy lemurs and bad ones who mutilate cattle and want our water and our women. I believe that the future sucks and I believe that the future rocks and I believe that one day White Buffalo Woman is going to come back and kick everyone's ass. I believe that all men are just overgrown boys with deep problems communicating and that the decline in good sex in America is coincident with the decline in drive-in movie theaters from state to state. I believe that all politicians are unprincipled crooks and I still believe that they are better than the alternative. I believe that California is going to sink into the sea when the big one comes, while Florida is going to dissolve into madness and alligators and toxic waste. I believe that antibacterial soap is destroying our resistance to dirt and disease so that one day we'll all be wiped out by the common cold like the Martians in War of the Worlds. I believe that the greatest poets of the last century were Edith Sitwell and Don Marquis, that jade is dried dragon sperm, and that thousands of years ago in a former life I was a one-armed Siberian shaman. I believe that mankind's destiny lies in the stars. I believe that candy really did taste better when I was a kid, that it's aerodynamically impossible for a bumblebee to fly, that light is a wave and a particle, that there's a cat in a box somewhere who's alive and dead at the same time (although if they don't ever open the box to feed it it'll eventually just be two different kinds of dead), and that there are stars in the universe billions of years older than the universe itself. I believe in a personal god who cares about me and worries and oversees everything I do. I believe in an impersonal god who set the universe in motion and went off to hang with her girlfriends and doesn't even know that I'm alive. I believe in an empty and godless universe of causal chaos, background noise, and sheer blind luck. I believe that anyone who says that sex is overrated just hasn't done it properly. I believe that anyone who claims to know what's going on will lie about the little things too. I believe in absolute honesty and sensible social lies. I believe in a woman's right to choose, a baby's right to live, that while all human life is sacred there's nothing wrong with the death penalty if you can trust the legal system implicitly, and that no one but a moron would ever trust the legal system. I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it." She stopped, out of breath.
Shadow almost took his hands off the wheel to applaud. Instead he said, "Okay. So if I tell you what I've learned you won't think that I'm a nut."
"Maybe," she said. "Try me." -Neil Gaiman American Gods. It is one of the best way that I have ever heard a character describe themselves, and it is almost exactly how I feel.

17. Music? Why?: I listen mostly to female artists, I find their music softer and their voices easier for me to listen too. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy music by guys, I just prefer music done by women. Some of those include: Florence and the Machines, Melissa Etheridge, Sara Brightman, Nightwish, Alanis Morriset, Joss Jones, Katy Perry, and Sheila Nicholson. I like music that isn’t screaming or ‘smack my bitch up’. I enjoy the lyrics of the music.

18. Season (Fall, Spring, Winter, Summer)? Why?: As my birthday is in October, I’m a huge fan of fall. Although, spring comes in second simply because I enjoy the mild weather of both seasons.

19. Criminal Minds character? Why?:I sat on this question for several minutes. I typed Reid first, then Morgan, and then Garcia and Hotch because they all have qualities that I admire. I’m going to go with JJ because as a character who develops she’s the most real to me. She’s not a fancy profiler, she’s just the media go between but she’s also an important part of the team.

20. Least favorite Criminal Minds character? Why?: I suppose it would be cheating if I said the ‘bad guys.’ I suppose if I have once it’s going to be Russi because he’s an older male, and his story isn’t something I can easily identify with.

Which one? Explain each choice. I want to make a note that I’m very indecisive and I don’t like to pick ‘one’. I did my best but in most of these choices I either believe in a balance of both or that you can’t have one with out another.

21. Mature or Immature: Immature because you can hide your maturity better behind an immature mask, it’s much harder to goof around if everyone sees you as ‘extremely mature’.

22. Leader or Follower: Depends entirely on the situation. I’m seen as bossy because if no one is stepping up to lead, I will and then I do. I follow if I like where the leader is going and how they are going about it. If I don’t, then I have them removed from office and vote in someone I like. But I get bored pretty quick so I don’t play in politics much.

23. Optimistic or Pessimistic: Optimistic, because taking each day like it’s going to be the best ever is the only way for me to survive when my day sucks.

24. Outgoing or Shy: Shy. I’m the type of girl that brings a book with her everywhere she goes, even to parties, bars, and dinners. I don’t always read them but they’re almost always close at hand. I can be outgoing when I need to be. If I feel uncomfortable in a situation, like the first day of college, I will be a little louder and a little more ‘notice me’ to try and put other people at ease. It actually works surpassingly well and has helped me make friends. The longer I know someone the shyer I get around them. It’s like displaying outgoing helps hide the real me.

25. Freewill or Fate: Hrm, I believe in both. I think that everything we do is freewill however, what we do leads us to our fate, given that our fate can change. Imagine a tapestry, all threads woven together, now if you are that one thread you’re going to weave in and out, but if you pull that thread out and you look closely you can see it’s made up of OTHER little threads giving us freewill in fate.

26. Impulsive or Cautious: Cautious to those that know me well. I don’t like to drive fast or take unnecessary risks. I do have my impulsive moments where I just decide to do something quickly, but those are rarely dangerous although they may be foolish.

27. Social or Anti-Social: I seem pretty social to the casual observer, friendly with lots of people but I think I’m more anti-social. I prefer to be at my house, alone rather than at a bar or in a club. 28. Calm or Hyper: I’m hyper. I bounce around, even when I’m alone. The most times when I’m calm are when others around me are hyper.

29. Family or Friends: Family, I grew up in a close knit family-the town that I grew up in wasn’t very welcoming to outsiders, or to someone who was like me, eccentric, loud, and full of flights of fancy. After almost ten years the word ‘freak’ transformed from an insult to a term of endearment for me.

30. Activity or Quiet: Since I like to read I’m a fan of the quiet. I often can feel overwhelmed if I have too much going on sound-wise around my head.

31. Justice or Compassion: Compassion, and I can’t tell you why I would chose this over justice. I only know that it was my first thought.

32. Would you want to be in the BAU in RL? Honestly I’m not sure I could handle the death they see every day. If I were going to be in the BAU I would want to be a technical analyst like Garcia or to deal with the public like JJ.

33. Description or Picture: Picture because as great as descriptions are they allow you to make assumptions without facts. Annnd upon reading through a few of the other applications I realize now that this question was probably about my personal looks. Because I don't have access to a picture on this computer I'll go with descriptions, I have long dark brown hair, medium build, curvy, 5’8 and cat eye glasses and dark brown eyes. I’m not super pretty and I’m not ugly, I am pretty enough to be noticed but not enough to be remembered.

34. Anything else: Most of the time I’m a bit of a mirror, I either reflect those people that I’m around or act in contrast to balance them out. I don’t know what that means, or if it will help you. I also think everyone you meet is crazy some are just better at hiding it and others use their ‘crazy’ as a gift to understand people, help solve crimes, or to do better in the world. My family likes to joke that my brother got all of the ADHD and I got all the ADD.
