I’m not sure if they ever explained it and I am far too lazy to actually go check on things so I’m going to make up my own explanation for the weird absence of Jessie/Kelly

No, because the show didn't end. There was "Saved By the Bell: College years." And Kelly, Zack, Slater, and Screech were on that show. Lisa and Jessie made appearances.
Nevertheless, that was thoroughly entertaining. Thanks.

Saved By the Bell ended though. And remember, Kelly wasn't on the college years right away. Did Jessie and Lisa ever guest star on the show? I know Jessie was in the movie where Zack and Kelly got married but only briefly. I think Lisa was in both of the college-era movies but I'm not sure if they were actually on the college show themselves.
