Just gotta cross your fingers and hope it overheated or something random like that.
My poor 4 year old toshiba is still crawling along.

In addition:
Dharti's PowerBook doesn't charge anymore;
I managed to fry the battery on my MacBook;
my windows desktop crashes whenever I use windows networking; and
every time I touched anything in the apartment I got zapped.
I think this week was not a good one for any form of technology. :(
update: Erg. Now the server doesn't believe I'm human :(

New batteries that'll last longer on Macs for under $80!
CM: I would check very carefully for dust. Those little laptops can fry sometimes. That is if I'm thinking of the right thing. I might not.

Actually, Isaac, I called Apple about it, and this turns out to be one of the rare opportunities that they cover the battery. W00t.
