It would have been fine if she were just jealous of them having a relationship while she didn’t; Prentiss could have dealt with that. But it wasn’t that that left a tight, bitter sensation in the back of her throat when she saw the subtle intimacies between her two best friends; it was the fact it wasn’t her with Morgan or Reid ( ... )

I love when you write any permutation of Morgan/Prentiss/Reid because you do such a great job with the way their emotions play out. And this really punched me in the gut. Thank you so much!

Emily groaned, rolling over in the king-sized bed. The sun was peeking in through the curtains, and it was absolutely criminal.

Reid was closest to the window, but he was also fast asleep; nothing short of a freaking tornado could wake him.

‘Derek,’ she moaned, letting her hand search across the bed for his body without opening her eyes.

‘What’s up, princess?’ His voice was laced with an exhausted kind of vulnerability that he only seemed to show behind closed doors.

‘It’s too early. Close the curtains.’

‘Babe, it’s 9am.’

‘It’s Sunday,’ she told him, exasperated. ‘We just spent four weeks hunting down a serial killer. Close the damn curtains ( ... )
